K-State Sheep Producer Day

Last Saturday, Stephen and I attended the K-State Sheep Producer Day in Manhattan, Kansas. It was the first one I have attended and they haven’t held one since 2019. It was an interesting day to hear about experiments and research projects that Kansas State students and professors have been working on to help with sheep concerns and health. A professor from North Dakota also discussed an interesting topic on how to help ranchers with the value that is being lost through disease related deaths in sheep. This has a 77 million dollars loss to the ranchers in the United States. We also got to chat with some students about coming to our farm for tours and some professors and colleagues wanting to know about our new innovations we have completed in the past years. I am looking forward to next year’s Sheep Days at K-State!
