FFA tour from Hoxie, Kansas
Today we hosted a tour of high school students from the FFA club from Hoxie, Kansas. Hoxie is a small town, like Quinter, that is about a half an hour away. Most of these students come from farm families. It was also my first chance to hear my husband, Stephen, lead a tour and he does an amazing job for either a novice or an expert to understand. We started off with the Ewe’s and their new baby lambs, we saw a whole barn of Ewe’s that will be lambing in the next couple weeks, older lambs out in the pens, and then finished up showing everyone how we grow feed in the Infinity Pasture. We had to answer some very simple questions, such as, “Do you eat the lamb?” to more serious questions, “How much water do you use in growing your barley?” Whether you are new to the idea of lamb on a farm or want to get more scientific with information we would love for you to see our farm. A lot has changed concerning our farm over the last few years and we are making improvements as the year progresses.
