Don’t put all your eggs in one basket

We have all heard the saying, “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.” Rich people should diversify their wealth. Well, we do this on the farm. We grow crops, have sheep, sell barley, working on wool pellets, ect. We have multiple streams of income and costs, Why? Because you never know. We could have a drought and our crops aren’t worth much, but hey at least we can use some for feeding the sheep. We could have less lambs being born but we sold some barley and cleaned extra seed this month. There are highs and their are struggles. Our goal is just to even everything out, so we can accomplish many things. Simon farms are not a bet it all on red and either succeed or fail. We spread it around to get more variety out of life.
